About: Christie Tran
Christie Tran, a Vietnamese woman with a remarkable journey, started dreaming of coming to America at a young age. In 1992, her dream came true when she arrived in Buffalo, NY, staying there briefly before moving to Philadelphia. Despite language barriers, she persevered through high school, earned four scholarships for college, and became a teacher. During high school, she learned to do nails, eventually opening her own successful nail salon in 2002.
She opened 3 nail salons Manayunk 1 in north wildwood which are wellknowned in the area. All 4 were successful on online like youtube, which motivated everyone also ambassador for health fitness.
Despite facing financial challenges, lacking credit, and receiving no support from banks, she persevered with determination, leveraging three credit cards to their maximum to achieve her entrepreneurial goals.
In 2018, Christie expanded her entrepreneurial ventures with partners, opening four successful and popular restaurants in New Jersey, driven by her passion for sharing Vietnamese beauty and cuisine. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she found a new purpose: helping Vietnamese farmers by launching her own line of products, including Weasel Coffee, Robusta coffee, and some of the instant coffee with unique flavours like red pomegranate and seaweed collagen. She is also spiritually conscious for those seeking for vegan option, so she offers Vietnamese vegan instant coffee with coconut milk instead of regular milk. Christie’s commitment to her roots and her desire to give back led her to create a brand that not only reflects her journey but also supports Vietnamese farmers.
